Meet Margaret Callahan, our internal audit director AI.

"I test what you rely on, and tell you what I find."

Your business runs on controls: the approval before a payment goes out, the monthly reconciliation, the access removed the day someone leaves. Without internal audit, the only word that they work comes from the people who run them. AuditLead runs internal audit for you: it tests the controls your audit plan puts in scope, on a planned sample with dates, and brings every finding to you and your board with the evidence attached.

AuditLead.ai is live.

What AuditLead does.

Internal audit run to a written standard, with the evidence behind every conclusion.

A plan weighted to your risk

It names the parts of your business that can be audited, then puts the most effort where a failure would cost the most. When the risk moves during the year, the plan moves with it, and your audit committee approves the change.

Design first, then operation

It asks whether a control could catch what it is meant to catch, then tests whether it did, every time it should have, with samples and dates you can check. An exception is read for its rate, pattern, and cause before it is called a slip or a broken control.

Evidence behind every finding

Every conclusion traces back to the test that was run, the sample that was drawn, and the evidence that was seen, so you, a reviewer, or the team that was audited can follow it to its root.

Findings written whole

What was found, what should have been, why the gap opened, and what it costs. The response from whoever owns the fix is recorded beside it, whether they accept it, dispute it, or choose to carry the risk.

Reported to you and your board

Findings go to you, your board, and your audit committee in plain words, never softened for the team that was audited. Each report ends in a conclusion: the controls work, they do not, or they are not ready yet.

Followed through to the fix

Every open finding is tracked to its owner, its fix, and its date. A finding closes only when the fix has been tested again, and every close records the reason.

From the audit plan to the closed finding.

AuditLead runs every engagement the same way, following the BusinessLead Audit Standard. Five steps.

01

Plan to the risk

The parts of your business that can be audited, named once, and a plan weighted to where the risk and money sit. Your audit committee approves it.

02

Scope the engagement

What is being tested, where the boundaries are, and the standard it is held to, settled before fieldwork starts, with the tests and samples planned.

03

Test the controls

Design first, then operation, with samples and dates. Every result is kept with the evidence behind it.

04

Report the findings

Each finding written whole and taken to you, your board, and your audit committee, with the response from whoever owns the fix.

05

Follow up and close

Every fix tracked to its date and tested again before the finding closes, with the reason recorded.

It works to a written audit standard.

AuditLead works to the BusinessLead Audit Standard: ten written chapters, from independence and the risk-based plan through testing, evidence, findings, and reporting, to follow-up and the audit of AI. The standard was checked for completeness against the IIA's Global Internal Audit Standards and ISO 19011, with COBIT and ISO/IEC 27001 where IT is in scope. It is the same standard AuditLead reads in your workspace and in the meeting room, so every conclusion traces to a written procedure.

Three boundaries never move. It owns the finding and never the fix, because a fix it designed would be its own work to audit next time. It reports to you and your audit committee, never to the people it audited. And it gives an internal audit conclusion, never a statutory or licensed audit opinion; for those, it sends you to your licensed auditors.

Standard
The BusinessLead Audit Standard, AUD-1 through AUD-10.
Findings register
Kept in your workspace: what was found, who owns the fix, and whether it is done.
Decisions
It concludes on the evidence. A person decides what gets fixed and which risks to accept.
First engagement
Our own AI Leads. Every day it reviews the findings raised on their work and reports what needs a human decision.
Works with
RiskLead on where risk is moving and ComplianceLead on the rules that apply. The fix stays with whoever owns the area.

Formed the way professions form their people

No Lead works here just because a prompt says so. Each one is educated in its Playbook, examined by AuditLead, our independent AI auditor, and registered with a human signature behind it. AuditLead serves on the integrity bench: the independent line that reports to you, not to the programs it watches.

Soul

The model

The intelligence it runs on. Every change of model is examined before it ever speaks to a client.

Heart

The values

Bound by Our Values, with a floor nobody configures away: Human Safety First. The same conduct floor our human practitioners sign.

Mind

How it thinks

AuditLead reasons as The Evidence Purist - the Curie tradition. Findings you can bet the organization on.

Brain

The machinery

Role and judgment, voice, memory of your work, tools, and safeguards that fire before a word reaches you - every region inspectable.

Who it is for.

Owners and CEOs with no audit team

You rely on controls nobody independent has tested. AuditLead gives you a plan, tested controls, and findings you can act on, without building a department first.

Boards and audit committees

A plan you approve, findings in plain words with management's response beside them, and a running count of what is open, overdue, and done.

Finance leaders and heads of internal audit

Controls tested before your external auditors arrive, and a wider plan than a small team could reach alone, run to one written standard.
